Flower Power!

I first want to apologize for not blogging in forever, I'm so scatterbrained it's scary! But I"m sure, not to many of my EIGHT followers were holding their breaths for my next one!
Anyway, here is my lastest obsession............Satin Flowers!! I am working on these whenever I have free time.....while the kids are napping, while watching tv in the evening, heck, I even dream about making them! I think I could make these all day long, if I ever had a free day! My only problem is that my poor thumb gets burnt and blistered from using a lighter constantly! I've tried using a candle, but the soot makes the flowers black, and I like the control I have with the lighter! I suffer through it, and just take a day or two off so it can heal! I guess that's the price I pay for my addiction!! LOL!
And now I actually have a work area to call home to! I think (I know) my husband was sick of crafts being spread all over the house, so he refinished an old desk for me! It is still a work in progress, but at least I'm not sitting on the living room floor anymore! Thanks Ry, love you!

Power to the Polka Dots!

I've always been drawn to patterns, whether it be on clothing, scrapbook paper, etc. I like paisley, hounds tooth, gingham.....but my all time favorite has to be POLKA DOTS!
